How to LOGIN to join a team.
You can LOGIN to join an existing TeemWork team or you can LOGIN to create a new team.
To LOGIN to join an existing team, make sure that you are connected to the Internet then double click the TeemWork icon to start the TeemWork program.
The TeemWork icon is in directory "C:\TeemWork\". Many users also install a TeemWork short-cut to "C:\TeemWork\TeemWork.exe".on their desktops.

When TeemWork starts, it opens automatically in 'SURF' mode. In 'SURF' mode, TeemWork functions as if it was a web browser.
To LOGIN to TeemWork, click on 'LOGIN' on the menu bar.

The
LOGIN window will appear.
The window includes four fields that must be filled in.
The first field is 'Server Name'. This is the name of the TeemWork server that you want to connect to. When TeemWork is originally installed, the default server name is 'TeemWork.Net', our online TeemWork server. Leave this value unchanged while you evaluate TeemWork. Specify the name of your server, if you decide to install TeemWork's MSDE Edition.
The second field is 'Team Name'. The team name is chosen by the the team Administrator when the team is originally created.
The third field is 'User ID'. Your user code is set for you by the Administrator when he or she decides to grant the user access to the team.
The fourth field is 'Password'. It is also provided by the team Administrator when he or she decides to grant the user access to the team.
In short, your team Administrator will inform you of your 'Team Name', 'User Code' and 'Password' when you are invited to join the team.

If you are new to TeemWork and would like to try it out. You can LOGIN to an existing team in read-only mode. Enter team 'DEMOE' with userID 'READONLY' and password 'SECRET'. You can also create your own team and use it at no charge for a reasonable amount of time in order to convince yourself that TeemWork can help your organization become more productive. |
TeemWork will be available in a number of languages. It is currently available in English and in French. Choose the language that you wish to use by clicking the appropriate circle.
Members of a TeemWork team do not have to select the same language. Some may select English and others may select French to work with them. What is keyed in will not be translated, but the messages and captions that you see will be in the language of your choice.

When the above information is entered, click on the button to confirm that you agree with the terms and conditions associated with the use of TeemWork.
As soon as the button is clicked, the TeemWork program will verify that your team exists and that your user ID and password are valid.
Your Team Administrator may decide to activate TeemWork's 'VPN security'.
When 'VPN security' is activated, you will be given permission to join the team only when specific computers are used. You will be denied access when you try to LOGIN with other machines. Your Team Administrator then determines which machines may be used by each individual user.
'VPN security' should be used when a high level of access security is appropriate. We highly recommend it.

As soon as you are granted access to your team, your current list of follow-up topics will be displayed and a menu bar such as the one displayed below will be shown.

You are now connected to TeemWork. TeemWork automatically configures itself according to the rights and permissions that were granted to you by your Team Administrator.
