Managing Activities
Team Administrators and Supervisors use the 'Activities' window to create and modify Activities, and choose Participants. If you don't know what Activities are, and how to handle basic tasks, read the Introduction to Time Management, and 'Getting Started with Time Management'.
The Activities window also displays various statistics on the number of hours worked per Activity, or per employee.
To open the Activities window, click on the 'Time Management' menu:

The list at the top of the window displays all the Activities that you can participate to (Administrators: see the Time Management tab), and the 'Activity Details' tab allows you to modify the currently selected Activity.

The list can be sorted by Expected Date, Number, Activity Type, Keywords, Activity Name or Client Name, by clicking on the title of a column.
If you are looking for a particular Activity, you can make a search by keyword, by writing one or more words in the field at the top of the window, and checking the 'Including keywords' checkbox.

To Add a new Activity, click on the 'Add' button. TeemWork will prompt you to enter the Activity's number (it can also contain letters). It is usually made of the first letters of the Activity's Type, and a sequential number.
To modify an Activity, select it in the list at the top of the window, make your changes, and click on the 'Modify' button. If you only change the participants of the Activity, you do not have to click on 'Modify'; the changes are saved automatically.
The 'Color' of an Activity is only visible on the Schedule. Use different colors for different Activities.
If a user is a participant of an Activity, he can use this Activity on his Time Sheet. The Administrators can choose who is on the 'Participants' list for any Activity Type, but it is up to the Activity's supervisors to check the checkboxes and allow users to do a given Activity.
Note: If a Supervisor creates a new Activity, its Activity Type can only be one that he has the right to supervise (he is a participant). To 'create' a new Activity Type, the Supervisor must have the right to participate to every Activity Type, in the 'Time Management' tab of User Management.
The 'Time spent on Activities' tab
This portion of the Activities window contains various statistics on the time worked by the users. For example, the following slide shows all the time entered for the currently selected Activity Type, between the 2002-05-01 and the 2002-05-31, by any user.

In the list, entries with a light blue background are what was scheduled. They only appear if the 'Show Schedule' check box is checked. Entries that have blue letters are overtime.
The last entry of the 'Minutes' column displays the total time of the list, without counting the Scheduled time, which is displayed in the neighbouring cell.
To open the Time Sheet associated to an entry, click on the name of the TeemMember.
The 'beginning' and 'until' fields are dates that bound list. If they are empty, TeemWork uses all the time ever entered.
If you select the 'for this Activity' radio button, TeemWork will use the currently selected Activity, in the list at the top of the window. If you select 'for this Activity Type', it will use the Type of the selected Activity, and the third radio button (in this case, 'for Alcan'), is the name of the Client of the selected Activity.
The 'Report' button displays the same list, but in HTML format,
in TeemWork's browser. You can then print it by clicking on the
icon.
