How to rename Contact Types.
Rename contact types in the Manage User window. This window is available to users with administrative rights in TeemWork.
Note: When a Contact Type is renamed, all users given the right to view the Contact Type in your group will see the rename. A renamed Contact Type is changed for the team.
Here are the steps to rename a Contact Type.
First open the Manage Users window. Below is the menu bar for a user with administrative rights.

Next click the tab labeled, 'Access to Contact Types.'
Below is a slide of the tab and the default Contact Types. The default Contact Categories and Contact Types are shown.

After the tab is in view, click the sentence located below the Contact Type check columns. When the sentence is clicked a pop-up window appears.
If you are certain you want to rename Contact Types click the 'Yes' button. If you do not want to rename any contact Types, click the 'No' button. Review the results of renaming Contact Types.

When the 'Yes' button is clicked a check box appears to the left of the 'Save' button located on the tab.
Click the check box. Once the check box is clicked the 'Contact Category' names and the 'Contact Type' names can be renamed.

In this case the bottom 'Contact Category' is renamed 'Region.' The team has decided to rename some Contact Types to be geographical significant.

Rename the Contact Category and-or the Contact Types to suite your team's requirements.
Finally, click the 'Save' button to store all your changes. In this slide the renames are complete and are saved.

The next user to login and has the rights to the renamed Contact Types can see the renamed Contact Types. Below is the contacts window. This user has the rights to view the renamed Contacts, East, West and South

To rename Contact Types, return to the Manage Users window and the 'Access to Contact Types' tab. Repeat the steps found on this page.
